WHO WE ARE
The Manx Solidarity Fund is a Manx-registered Charitable Trust set up by the community to serve the community.
Our Patron is His Excellency Sir Richard Gozney, Lieutenant Governor of the Isle of Man.
Our charity has been established swiftly in response to the rapidly developing difficulties brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic. This website will be updated and revised continuously as the Fund’s operations are established.
For more information on the virus and keeping yourself and others safe, please check the Isle of Man government's recommendations here.
WHAT WE DO
We aim to deliver much-needed funds and support to the causes and individuals on the Island who need it most. We will also be coordinating volunteer services to help those who have found themselves unable to perform their usual duties.
As we all know, the pandemic has not only affected the health of our community but also our income, our schools, our businesses and our economy as a whole. Many people and organisations are now facing social and financial hardship as a result.
We need each other now more than ever, and must come together to support our Island community.
Whichever way you throw us, we shall stand - and stand together.
HOW WILL THE FUNDS BE USED?
Funds will be allocated to individuals and organisations that the Trustees have identified as being most in need. We anticipate there will be a broad range of needs, which will be identified through the application process and reviewed closely by the Manx Solidarity Fund Trustees.
You can see some examples in our success stories.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Isle of Man residents and Manx-registered organisations who are experiencing difficulty arising from the Covid-19 pandemic and who are not otherwise covered, for example, by government assistance.
HOW CAN PEOPLE APPLY?
For organisations and individuals on the Island who are prepared to volunteer, Helpout.im are coordinating a database of individuals and organisations who are willing to donate their time and skills to help those in need. Likewise, those looking for support can apply for assistance via their website.
These volunteer services could involve anything from dog walking to prescription collection. They will be pairing volunteers with causes as and when they find a match.
